If you take a walk around the downtown Madison area any afternoon during the week you are sure to come across a plethora of delicious smelling food trucks. And now that spring is here everyone wants to get out and enjoy the sunshine, so why not also indulge some fabulous food while you’re at it?
There’s no denying that food trucks are becoming a larger part of our expanding food options. Here in the Madison area we have more than 50 food trucks ranging from cupcakes to Vietnamese food located in areas such as the Capitol Square, Epic Campus, and Library Mall (check them all out here!). And the best part about them? Quick, affordable food that you can either enjoy while you walk or take back to work with you.
Food trucks have become so popular that in Madison a group of UW grads that have started a blog about the best food trucks around – Madison Street Eats. Their reviews rate the food on a 1-5 plate scale in categories such as price, speed, deliciousness, and authenticity as well as some really tempting photos.
If you’d rather admire the food truck experience from the comfort of your couch, Netflix has a wonderful movie that you can indulge in – Chef. The movie will not only make you want a Cubano really badly but will also make you want to quit your day job and start a food truck. No joke. Check out the trailer here!
