Yes, tickets need to be purchased by 10:00PM the day before the tour. Tickets are only available for purchase with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard through our website or by calling (866) 736-6343. Cash is not accepted.
The tour will not start and end at the exact same location, they are a few blocks apart, but your tour guide will be happy to direct you back to where we started at last tasting location.
Yes, bathrooms are available at multiple stops throughout the tour.
The tour will run whether there is rain or snow. Please check the weather the day of your tour and come dressed and prepared for anything. We will provide umbrellas in the event that it begins raining and you do not have an umbrella.
For the Around the Square tour parking is available at nearby parking garages, on the street, or other lots around the downtown area. Please be sure to find a space that is at least a three hour minimum. We recommend using the Government East Parking ramp located at:

All of our tours are able to accommodate vegetarians.
Our Around the Square tour is able to accommodate other dietary restrictions and allergies on an “as needed” basis. You will be asked to select dietary restrictions or allergies during the checkout process when purchasing a ticket.
*Please note that we take food allergies very seriously, and the tastings may not be the same if you select that you have an allergy.
There will be water available at most tasting locations, however you may consider bringing a small water bottle with you.
Depending on the weather you will also want to bring a jacket, umbrella or sunscreen.
We recommend you wear comfortable clothing and shoes as we will be walking outside.
Children are certainly welcome on our Around the Square tour, however we do ask that you keep in mind that the tour is 3 hours long, involves periods walking and standing, and does stop at busy restaurants. Parents know their children best and should assess the situation on an individual basis. Children between the ages of 3-10 require a ticket even if they are not eating.
If you will have a infant on the tour with you (under the age of 3) you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. Please just let us know when you purchase your ticket that you will be bringing them along with you.
We require that guests on our Middleton Dinner tour are 21 years or older.
There will be 5 tastings on the tour, which most participants feel is enough for a meal. We do encourage that you have a light breakfast before taking the tour because the tour is not intended to replace multiple meals.
Of course! On the food tour we not only eat food at local restaurants, but also get to learn about the owners of each establishment and their connection to Madison. It’s also a great opportunity to bring visiting family and friends to learn about how wonderful your city is!
Not even close! Our goal is to not only feed your stomachs but also your minds. On our tours we also incorporate the history, architecture and culture of the area we are walking through.
On the Around the Square tour over the course of 3 hours there is approximately 1.5-2 miles of walking. We move at a very moderate pace and take multiple standing breaks throughout the course of the tour. There are also a few seated breaks over the 3 hours.
On the Middleton Dinner tour there is only about half a mile of walking over the course of 2.5 hours with many seated breaks.
Our Around the Square tour is wheelchair accessible. For guests that are hard of hearing, a written script of the narration will be available upon request.
The Middleton Dinner tour is not wheelchair accessible at one tasting location which includes one flight of stairs that we walk up and down.
Yes. All guests that will be participating in the tour, whether eating or not, will need a ticket to join the tour. The ticket cost covers not only the food samplings but also the tour guide wages. The tour guides are offering great information on the tour in regards to the history, architecture and culture of Madison in addition to the food samplings.
Gratuities are very much appreciated, but are not required on the tour.
